Getting Started
Your island, your omnitool, the three skills, and what each currency is for.
MineLucky Skyblock is not the vanilla one-tree-and-a-lava-bucket version. You get an island, an omnitool that levels up with you, and three grinds to push it through: farming, slaying, and mining. Everything else on this page is the vocabulary for those three.
Claim your island
Claim an island first, since almost every system on the server banks into it. Your island has its own level, and island level feeds the trophy bonus that quietly multiplies your passive income later. Island & Automation covers that side.
Meet the omnitool
You do not carry a pickaxe, a hoe and a sword. You carry one omnitool that switches between all three, and everything you spend on it is permanent progress rather than gear you replace.
/omnitool Open the omnitool menu (alias /tools)
Levels, enchants, crystals, perks and abilities all live in that menu. The Omnitool is the full breakdown, and it is the guide worth reading before you spend anything.
The three skills
Each omnitool mode is its own economy with its own payouts, its own enchants, and its own milestones:
- Farming (hoe) — crops, seed bags, farming crystals.
- Slaying (sword) — stacked mobs, spawners, shards.
- Mining (pickaxe) — ores, gems, and the Caverns.
You do not have to pick one. Most players run all three and lean on whichever is paying best that week. Farming, Slaying & Mining compares them.
The currencies
There are more currencies here than on a normal server, and they are not interchangeable. What you are short of decides what you should be doing:
- Money — the general-purpose currency. Selling drops and crops.
- Orbs — buys most omnitool enchants.
- Shards — buys the rest of the omnitool enchants. Earned through slaying.
- Gems — found while using the tool, through the gem-finder enchants.
- Essence — the Caverns currency. Only spent in the Crucible.
- Credits — premium currency from the store. Never required.
/balance shows what you are holding.
Commands
Skyblock's own commands are introduced in the guide for whichever system they belong to, and the network-wide set — homes, warps, teleport requests, trading and messaging — is in Commands.
